The research was mainly focused on the synthesis of fatty alcohol polyether with narrow range distribution(FAPNRD)> properties and application after its phosphate esterification.Firstly, the synthetic process of FAPNRD was studied. A good catalyst, Mg-Al complex oxides solid base(MAOB) was selected through the comprehensive comparison of catalytic properties of a few catalysts for FAPNRD. It has features of higher activity and innocuity and narrow molecular weight distribution (EO distribution index up to 80%). The obtained products were colorless, and were easily separated from catalyst, so MAOB can meet the requirements of modern industry .Secondly, the other conditions of process for the synthesis of FAPNRD, including temperature, catalyst amount, pressure, were investigated. A group of optimal process parameters, such as temperature at 160 ?5 癈 , catalyst amount at 0.5% of starting agent, pressure at 0.4MPa , were obtained. The effect of different starting agents and EO numbers on molecular weight distribution of the products, scope of application of MAOB, reutilization of MAOB were examined secondarily.Thirdly, we analyzed the four factors that influence the alcohol polyether phosphates' properties-starting agent, molecular weight, mole ratio of EO to PO and the structure of molecular chain-and designed nine polyethers(the series of D) based on L9(34) orthogonal experiment. Under the optimal process conditions, nine alcohol polyethers were synthesized, and were esterified with PzOs. Their physical and chemical properties were tested and the relationship between structure and properties of phosphate ester was summerized accordingly.At last, the application of alcohol polyether phosphate ester was discussed. The high-performance alkaliproof penetrating agent TF-214 was made by the formulation of octanol polyether phosphate, isooctyl alcohol polyether sulfate and organosilicon defoamer. Its alkaliproof concentration can be up to 220gNaOH/l, and its penetrability is superior to the common commercial penetrating agents.
