During the course of postgraduate, Firstly the chromatographic fingerprint of Isatis indigotica Fort. , Rehmannia glutinosa Libosch. , Anemarrhena asphodeloides Bge. and Phragmites communis Trin. was established by High Performance Liquid Chromatography.According to the ralative rention times and the relative area resultants in chromatographic fingerprint, their comparative study was achieved. It established a chromatographic fingerprint method for indentification and quality assessment of Traditional Chinese Medicines. This method provided useful informantions for indentification of Traditional Chinese Medicines, and was a development for application of HPLC in sample analysis and indentification of complex components.Furthermore, the study on chemical constituents of Puerariae radix was reviewed, the chemical constituents mainly included isoflavonoids, triterpenoidal and aromatic compounds; it had pharmacologic effects on blood cycle in heart and brain, spasmolysis and hypoglycemia etc. It's clinical applications had been discussed. In the base of the overview, The chemical constituents of Puerariae radix, the roots of Pueraria. lobata (Wild. ) Ohwi collected from biogarden in SouthChina Normal University , were studied. By using column chromatography, five crystal compounds were isolated. On the basis of IR, 'H-NMR spectral analysis, the chemical structures of Puerarind) and Daidzen (2) were deduced. The ultraviolet and fluorimetric specta of the isoflavonoids were analysed as well.
