| A new structure design for open CNC system's program of translation and cutting tool compensation based on PC is discussed in this thesis. The design method is testified with programming procedure which is wrote in Visual Basic on the Windows flat roof.In accordance with the character of the open CNC system, A block diagram program of explanation and tool compensation is designed .The method is adopted such as modularization and hierarchy. This program will be suit for the need of the different consumers and different 3D NC machine by alternating or extending unitThis thesis presents the situation of the researches and applications on open CNC system in the world, and analyzing the research situation in China and the requirements of the project. Not only a whole block diagram design of the system is completed, but also most utilities of the common-used code and unit on the translation system is fulfilled.Using plane analytics, the author has resolved the problem of cutting tool nose radius compensation. Accordingto the codes of tool compensation it is sorted by dividing them into mode and modeless was made, So the speed can be advanced and the complexity of the program is reduced. In addition, according to various states of the establishment, proceeding and cancel of the cutting tool nose radius compensation, the data are stored in different way. it will be advanced that programs are extensible and replaceable.The correctness of the program can be validated by the emulator of NC.This thesis has presented and partly completed the structure design of program about the open NC system's code translation and cutting tool nose radius compensation. It has grounded the good foundation for the future work. Overall, this system has some practical value and widely prospect of development.
