The present status of the study on antibacterial ceramics is introduced in this paper. Some problems about antibacterial ceramics that are existed present are pointed out .The antibacterial ceramics of ion exchange type and photocatalysis type are studied separately.Antibacterial agent of the antibacterial ceramics of ion exchange type is prepared by using hydroxyapatite as carrier. The antibacterial agent of hydroxyapatite is added into glaze ,then antibacterial ceramics is obtained after sintering .The absorbing property of hydroxyapatite to Ag-ion is studied by AAS.The micro-structure of ion-carrying hydroxyapatite before and after sintering and the micro-structure of hydroxyapatite are studied.The antibacterial properties of hydroxyapatite antibacterial agent and antibacterial ceramics are studied by freely fallen bacteria.In the study of antibacterial ceramics of photocatalysis type , TiOz photocatalysis thin film and TiO2 photocatalysis thin film doped with metal ion is prepared.The micro-structure of the two types of photocatalysis thin film are studied by XRD,XPS and SEM.The photocatalysis properties of the two types of photocatalysis thin film are compared by the photocatalysis resolution experiment. Their antibacterial properties are studied by freely fallen bacteria.
