The Computer Aided Designing System Of Stainless Steel Welding Process

In this paper, based on analyzing the methods and processes to design a weldingprocedure in some domestic welding manufactures and referring to some weldingsoftware abroad, a practical and universal stainless steel's welding procedure managingsystem, CAPDS is introduced by using Visual Basic6.0.By taking advantage of then Access DBMS, CAPDS can effectively manage thewelding database, inferential rule database and files database of welding process. First,the welding database contains the metal table, the filler metal table, and the joint groovetable, the welding method table and the equipment table. Second, the inferential ruledatabase contains the rules respectively used in selecting the filler metal, the weldingparameter and the standard process in heat treatment, and criteria used to assess thewelding process. And finally, the files database contains PQR and WPS.The system realizes the planning of welding process and the management of processfiles. With the users' input of basic conditions of weld, the system produces WPCthrough searching, comparing and judging inner database.It is convenient to search and inquire various parameters for the realization ofinformation management concerning with different welding process planning by waysof database technology.At the same time, the CAPDS can automatically make the welding procedure. Usingthis software to design stainless steel's welding procedure in manufactories, thedesigning process can be smartly inducted and the work efficiency and managementlevel of the manufacture can be greatly improved.
