| The technology of ultrasonic inspection is the mature application technology. It is widely used for the inner defect of mechanical parts. But it is not ideal method when it is used for the tube and tube- sheet welds (simplified as tube welds).It can result in the mistaken test and lost test , and result in the problems of equipments safety, it becomes one of the difficult problems in production safety. Due to the factors in quality of welds , the defects of tube welds is more complex and complicated, and it is very difficult to test them. Then, It is more difficult problems to detect and verify the defect of tube welds. It is the most important to test the defect of tube welds quickly and properly in chemical manufacturing and safety. The research and development of the technology and installation for testing the defect of tube welds is the subject of multiple science in the zone of chemical mechanical technology and automatic control technology. It is the complication system engineering to test the tube defect automatically , it concern to some related scientific zone, tightly contact with the experience at job site, and emphasized by the mechanic enterprises. The emphasis of this article is that research of testing the tube defects ,on the basis of the experience concerned to ultrasonic technology , automatic control technology and the technology of picture process by computer, the specific detect system has been finished in tube and tube-sheet welds testing system, and succeeded in the application for the high temperature and high pressure tube heat exchanger. Through the research of the test and analysis , It gets the conclusion for applicable value, and provides the new method of tube and tube-sheet welds, and further to rich and improve the technology of ultrasonic tests for the mechanical defects. This detecting system is used to the test at job site, and is effectively. It provides the assurance of new technical safety , and bring out the economic profit and social efficiency.
