This thesis is finished on the basis of my taking part in the National "Tenth-five" Project-Research on Internet-based NC Machine Tools Form Design and Humanized Interface Technologies and Implementations Based on Design Knowledge and User Knowledge. It focuses on such problems as the knowledge-based design mode, the knowledge-based design program, and the internet-based collaborative design, etc. It brings forward knowledge system of ICAID, the way of knowledge management, and the management and technology of the internet-based collaborative design platform.This thesis, based on the research of NC machine tools form design and humanized interface technology, analyzes the cognitive mode of NC machine tools, brings forward the classified search mode based on the profile lines, the typical overall arrangement of the face and types of NC machine tools as well. The user can search rough model of SolidWorks from ICAID and finish the form design with the aid of ICAID. This thesis also analyzes the current technologies of CAID, CAD, VR, server and internet, brings forward the expression way of design knowledge based on the second development of SolidWorks and the close conjunction of ViewPoint and SolidWorks. It also brings forward the computer aided design mode based on Client/Server and the actualization form of the collaborative design platform.This thesis points out that the knowledge system of NC machine tools form design should include such subsystems as the basic knowledge system, case system and the database of feature components, etc. On the aspect of the knowledge exchange between the knowledge system and the collaborative design platform, we bring forward the system framework of ICAID through setting up the material and data systems. After we analyze the design program of NC machine tools and the organization and management of the program, we can integrate this knowledge into the collaborative design platform via intelligent navigation system.This thesis also discusses the experiment of Verbal Protocol and the questionnaire on the form and color studies of NC machine tools, and perfects the system framework.
