This paper includes three parts. The method of extraction technology of itaconic acid from fermentation liquid was studied.First, the separation and extraction of itaconic acid from fermentation liquid by using weak basic anion-exchange resin D301 was studied. Through static exchange experiments, static exchange parameters of itaconic acid on D301 resin is discussed, and mechanism of mass transmission and influence factors are determined. Through dynamic exchange experiment, the technical process using sulphuric acid as eluent and aqua ammonia as regenerative agent is studied, and main technical parameters are determined.Second, optimization on extraction technological process in itaconic acid fermentation broth according to local situation was studied, the method of separation from itaconic acid first solution by ion exchange resins was discussed. Some main technology conditions were tested and discussed by experiment of dynamic state. Rate of eliminating cation impurity of 732 strong acid exchange resin can reach 96%. D301 weak basic ion-exchange resin eliminated most anion foreign matter. The loss of itaconic acid is less 1%.The end, a method of solvent extraction for extracting and separating itaconic acid was developed. At first, the suitable extractants and contact time were chosen. Then, the effects of several technological parameters, the concentration of itaconic acid and pH value in aqueous phase, concentration of extractant in organic phase and temperature on extraction of itaconic acid were determined. It compared with the method of separation of itaconic acid by ion exchange resins and offered more theoretical basis.
