The paper focused on the extraction technology of itaconic acid from waste mother liquer, which would have significant effect on further raising itaconic acid recovery rate and economic benefit, what's more, reducing resources wastion.Itaconic acid waste mother liquer was one of the castoffs after extracting itaconic acid from zymotic fluid. In the itaconic acid waste mother liquor studied, itaconic acid and reducing sugar were main components, pH value was 2.0~2.5, COD and BOD content were 304800mg/L and 60000mg/L respectively, and content of inorganic anions sulfate and chloridion etc were higher. Direct bleed-off would bring about resources waste and environment pollution. Itaconic acid extraction technique was systemly studied and the results were as follows:Lauter light yellow filtrate decolored by activated carbon was obtained, and most of pigments and suspended kernels were wiped off, which alleviated the contamination to resin column following.Static exchange experiment demonstrated D315 resin was suitable to treat anion impurities after comparasion.By investigating static adsorption properties, itaconic acid and reducing sugar dynamic adsorption processing curve, performance of resin column was determined, which indicated D311 resin suitable to treat itaconic acid mother liquer with dynamic exchange capacity of 185(mg/mL).Effect on adsorption itaconic acid was researched, which c conformed the ratio of height and diameter of resin bed (7.8) and flow velocity (2.0BV/h). The solution was eluted by using 1.5 mol/L sodium hydroxide solution, the flow velocity was 1.5 BV/h; after transformed by 732 resin; and the itaconic acid recovery rate reached 70%~73%; after purification, adsorption, elution and transformation, solution was condensed and crystallization rate reached 75%~78%. Itaconic acid totle recovery rate reached 55%~60%.
