The problem about environment pollution is becoming more and more serious, nowadays. The development of ecomaterials is rapid. Asssessment for materials environmental loads, as a important branch of ecomaterials, have become a focus of study. However, the study on methodology and software for evaluating materials environmental loads has not been enough in our country, so far. Study on materials environmental loads is attached importance to, in this paper. LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) is introduced, in this paper, relating to its definition, technical frame, deficiency and application. The methods on LCA are expatiated those are recently developed by experts from many countries, and some examples about the methods are listed out. The various softwares developed for evaluating environmental loads are compared to each other. The study on impact assessment in LCA is in-depth, and two new methods on evaluating materials environmental loads are developed, based on the weight assessment method used in the field. The two new methods are comprehensive index method and fuzzed mathematics assessment method. They are more objective than other assessment methods. Especially, fuzzed mathematics assessment method combines with fuzzed mathematics and environmental assessment. How to uniform the units of all kinds of environmental impact factors is deeply discussed. Furthermore, the proportion method is looked upon as a new method to solve this problem, in this paper.Finally, three groups of examples are discussed, in this paper. The weight assessment method, comprehensive index method, and fuzzed mathematics assessment method are applied to these examples. The characters and applications of the three methods are analyzed on a basis of the results of assessment. In the study, assessment software for evaluating materials environmental loads is developed. The three assessment methods are also applied into the software evaluating. The evaluating method according to the aim of assessment may be choosed, as a user of the software. Because the software is a database, user can retrieve, add and delete the various kinds of data in the database. It is easy to evaluate materials environmental loads under all kinds of conditions in the software.
