With titanyl sulphate and commercial urea as the raw material ,nanometer TiO2 is a material of environment,it with a close size distribution and fine dispersion was prepared by homogeneous precipitation. By means of TG-DTA thermoanalysis, infrared spectrum as well as XRD,TEM and Zata nanometer size distribution apparatus, research on powder structure and appearance of nanometer TiO2 was performed, which indicates that nanometer TiO2 thermotreated at 500C has a good crystallinic performance and light catalysis activity. A series of inherent parameters in the process, such as nucleating ranges of temperature ( A T),nucleating time ( A t),and concentrations have been set up. These parameters and related curves were noted down, the relations of the parameters and the end product characteristics were discussed. It was also studied that how the changes of initial reaction conditions (as reactant density, quantity of surface active agent, urea's supersaturation level, temperature, acidity, and etc.) affect the size, crystal structure and light catalysis effects of nanometer TiO2.In addition, this paper discussed process mechanism of homogeneous precipitation, kinetics for TiO2 crystal growth, transform, TiO2 light catalysis property and its degradation for contamination of organic in environment.
