With the trend of practicability, artistry, individuation and naturalism of furniture consuming, it is necessary for furniture enterprise to enhance the peripheral product and increase the additional value in product. Solid door is an important peripheral product in both set furniture and room designing, therefore, it can greatly help the enterprise to be strong competitive in furniture product. Solid door is featured in complicated shapes and various styles. At the same time, there exist the following problems: long design cycle, high error rate, large amount of repetitive modifying, lack of information share, etc. Therefore, it is of great practical significance to develop one CAD and software to solve the problems above and to be acceptable to the shapes and structure features of solid door.This paper studies the CAD for solid door and the realization of the system in network circumstance. The research includes:1. With the base of the analysis of users' requirements and the network circumstance, centering strengthening the practicability, adaptability and information share, this paper focuses on the key technology of shape designing, structure designing, data exchanging, etc, in network circumstance, and finally, realizes the CAD system for solid furniture in network circumstance. 2. Feature modeling technology for solid door is studied, and the way for implementing its feature model is proposed including feature instantiation, feature recognition and assemble technology. Speed shape designing is carried out and strong guarantee for the following integration is proposed as well.3. The shape designing and structure designing for solid door is studied. The system can well integrated with other functional module in the whole furniture designing system and this solve the problem of information share and exchange. Correlated departments can cooperate with each other well.4. Traditional ways for information acquisition is improved, instead the sub-entity information acquisition oriented to object is proposed, and it can meet the requirement of the project.5. The "FCADS" has been evaluated in Heilongjiang province (internal leading).
