Dyeing wastewater is characterized by high color, pH and organic pollutants concentration, which are causing significant deterioration to the quality of the scenery. The booming of dyeing industry in the world leads an active research on the dyeing wastewater treatment. However, dyeing wastewater is known to be refractory to disposal by conventional treatment process such as physicochemical and biological processes.Ozonation method will contribute to protect the environment and reuse water in dyeing industry. Ozone application in wastewater treatment, despite its many advantages, is inadequate for the total removal of many refractors' organic materials. Although the combination method of ozone and UV radiation is recommended, in this paper we will discuss the combination method, to achieve the cost-effective optimum treatment, the effect of reaction conditions were studied. The temperature, time, pH, initial organic concentration, ozone dose and UV light density are investigated. Experimental results show a color removal, CODCT, BODs and reaction mechanism effectiveness towards the oxidation of dye.The combination Ultraviolet light and ozone investigated and the results were also effective.The oxidation of dyeing wastewaters with ozone combined with UV Ozonation (600nm) has been studied. The oxidation yields of these systems were compared with those form of ozonation at similar experimental conditions. It was found that ozonation oxidation leads to important increases in COD and degradation rate (pH<5). The combination of UV ozone radiation was the best oxidation method because of the improvements achieved in both COD and BODs.
