Ti-Si mixed oxides materials have received much attention over recent years because of their excellent physical properties. These materials have been used to degrade the organic pollutant in water and eliminate the exhaust gas, such as NOx, CO, SO2. Its porous materials have been used in the oxidative reaction, including epoxidation of olefin and selective oxidation of saturated hydrocarbon. Based on the potential application, many reacherers have done much valuable work to study the effect of preparation condition on the texture and structure property of mixed oxides. In the base of reading lots of related literature, analysing and summaring the deficiency of the reported preparation method, a simple preparation method was brought. In this paper, the cheap inorganic titanate--TiCl4 was used as the startingmaterial and the Ti-Si mixed oxides were prepared by sol-gel one step hydrolysis method. The effect of TiO2 content and calcinations temperature were studied by FT-IR, N2 Physisorption and XRD. The results indicated as follows: the specimens have high specific area, up to 681.5 m2/g at 10TiSi. Ti-Si composite materials are mixed at atomic scale, and Ti-O-Si bond appears in all of the samples with different TiO2 content; the mixed oxides are mainly existed in the form of amorphous pattern, anatase appears when the TiO2 content is more than 80%, but compared with the intension of pure TiO2, it has not integrate structure. The acetic content has great influence in the specific area and crystal structure of the mixed oxides. 20TiSi has good heat stability, still possesses 11m2/g after calcined at 1100℃; calcinations on the large scale of temperature does not cause the break of Ti-O-Si bond, TiO2 is well dispersed in 20TiSi calcined at 1100℃, and it still existed in the form of amorphous. In this thesis, Cu based Ti-Si mixed oxides were used in the oxidation reaction of CO. TiO2 content, the content of Cu and reduction temperature were investigated in the influence on the activity of CO oxidation. The results indicated that the different TiO2 content do not affect the catalyst's activity when Cu content was 5 wt%; the catalysts, in which Cu content varied froml wt% to 13 wt% that based on the 20TiSi, do not appear the difference, the catalyst with 20 wt% Cu has very high activity; the Cu are existed in the two forms which are the activity center of CO oxidation reaction in the all catalysts.
