| In this thesis, the syntheses of imidazolidine-2-thiones and their 0-glycosides were studied. A series of imidazolidine-2-thiones (4a-f) were synthesized by liquid synthesis and Solid-Phase Synthesis. On the other hand, their aryl 0-glycosides (5a-f) were synthesized by Phase-Transfer Catalysis under the moderate condition. Their structures were confirmed by IR, NMR, MS spectra. In addition, they were confirmed to be β-configuration, therefore this reaction is stereoselective. Furthermore, the mechanism is proposed.
