Traditional natural fiber cotton has good hydrophilicity and natural shape structure, but it has a very slow speed of vapor transmission after wetted by sweat As a result, the cotton fiber will stick on the skin and this brings about a uncomfortable feeling Common polyester fiber has certain wet permeability capability due to its hydrophobicity, but it has bad moisture absorption, thus affects the comfort of clothes made of polyester fibers and its application in clothing Coolbst fiber, produced by Jiangsu Yizheng chemical fiber company limited, has completely new cross section shape, it applies the capillary theory to fibers and yarns structure, therefore, fabrics made of Coolbst fibers can transfer moisture diffuse and volatilize quickly, This makes the skin dry and improves the comfort oWet permeability Experiments and vapor transmission experiments have been made on knitting fabrics made of Coolbst continuous filament Coolbst yarns Coolmax yarns hollow polyester yarns , negative oxygenous ion polyester continuous filament From the experiments We draw the following several conclusions: knitting fabrics made of Coolbst yarns has better wet permeability, This maybe because there are more capillaries in Coolbst yarns, while the wicking height of Coolbst continuous filament is the shortest, maybe because there is less capillaries in it and the contact angle between the yarns and the water including water is larger; Coolbst fiber has better vapor transmission than Coolmax fibers; there is a coefficient K, between the predicted wicking height of the yarns and five-minute wicking height of the corresponding knitting fabrics. As for the experiments that we have made, K isapproximately equal to five point eight. Therefore, we can get the predicated wicking height of the yarns according to the parameters measured. According to the predicted wicking height of the yarns and K, we can gain the five-minute wicking height of the fabrics made of the same yarns On the contrary, we can calculate the wicking height of the yarns according to the measured parameters of the yarns and the formula of the wicking height. Then we evaluate the wet permeability of the yarns and the fabrics. Through the bend properties experiments, we found that the bend modulus of Coolbst yarns knitting fabrics is smallest While the Coolbst continuous filament knitting fabrics has biggest bend modulusThrough making the cross section slice of these five yarns and calculating the average radius of capillaries, we found that the average radii of capillaries of Coolbst yarns and Coolbst continuous filament are 6.85 m and 6.33 m respectively The two average radii are smaller than that of negative oxygenous ion polyester and of hollow polyester yarns but are larger than that of Coolmax yarns By establishing the yarn wet transmission model, we can calculate the wicking height of yarns and the overall capillary liquid flux of one yarn.Hydrophilic treating experiments have been made on three Coolbst knitting fabric, from the experiments we gain the relationship curve of the dosage of hydrophilic liquor and wet transmission area We also gain the best hydrophilic treating technics, According to the experiment data, we regress the relationship between the dosage of hydrophilic liquor and wet transmission, We found that the believe degree of most of the multiple linear regression equation is larger than ninety percent, This shows that the regression equation has a good tally with the experiments data, by the equation, we can control and forecast the relationship between the dosage of hydrophilic liquor and wet transmission Finally, in order to design comfortable clothes better, we blend the Coolbst fibers and cotton fibersand spin, then knit them into fabrics, we found that the fa brics including;cotton have better moisture permeability and softness...
