| Natural colored cotton is cultivated through gene modify technology itself has natural color. Its product does not need to dye and there have only some environmental friendship auxiliaries involving producing process, so it can be reduced pollution mostly on its product from growing cotton to making garment, dispel consumers' worry in consuming natural colored cotton product. It is one of ecological textiles that are the easiest at present to pass "green passport authentication" -ISO 1400-in the international market. Natural colored cotton product has the quality of fabric soft, rich elasticity, comfortable and color naturally. Looking from developing trend of clothing fabric in 21st century, people pursue clothing naturally and not only care garment's keeping warmth and looking beautiful but also pay more attention to garment's health and comfortable function. Now people pay more attention to environment protection, so ecological fabrics and environmental friendship clothing have big potential market in the world. The natural colored cotton as one kind of environmental friendship special cotton, it will have bright prospects in the textile market.In the past 20 years, people have consumed more and more environmental friendship textiles and placed high hope on natural colored cotton. But at present we are not understand completely on pigment characteristic of natural colored cotton and method of improving its color fastness. Thus delayed the settlement of some extant problems of natural colored cotton. To this situation, in mysubject I have carried on comparatively overall research to the natural colored cotton (brown and green colored cotton), Expecting through systematic understanding pigment characteristic of natural colored cotton and choosing rational technique to experiment natural colored cotton, then find a good method to improve its color fastness.Through making largely information investigation, I chose green colored cotton as the main research object because its pigment characteristic is unstable than brown colored cotton. I started with analyzing the structure of cotton fiber and understood pigment's composition and its distribution situation in the fiber. Then I experimented colored cotton fabric's color change after it was treated in washing, lighting, sour, alkali, oxidizer and reducer, etc, so I can further research pigment characteristic base on the above experiment result.Through drawing permeate-distilling pigment from cotton fiber and experimenting its characteristic, especially analyzing pigment's suck luminosity in different treating environment such as sour, alkali, heating, metallic salt, etc. I also compared the colored cotton's pigment characteristic with other plants' and made some conclusion. At the same time, I did color cotton fiber slices and watched the pigment in the distribution law at stage of different transformation. By this way I can understand pigment's shift.Studying through application and research of varying principle of pigment in colored cotton, under certain physics chemical action, I found that natural colored cotton pigment changes molecular structure and corresponding lead to change its color. After discussing of the method of identifying of colored cotton, I developed one method to identify green colored. But the method of identifying of brown colored cotton still needs further research.On the basis of understanding the colored cotton pigmentcharacteristic, I studied the main theme that how to carry on its pretreatment and technique of improving color fastness. Through handing in the test design and screening the best technology, thus under the settled experimental condition, It determines natural green color cotton's method of fixing color. And I actually verify this scheme be able to receive the good treatment result.
