Based on the theory of ground water system and the environmental geology, through the systemic research and evaluation on tunnel water resources, combined with the engineering design of anti-flooding and drainage, as well as the adoption of mathematical statistics for data analysis, it is proved to reasonably adjust and utilize tunnel water resources for further decision on tunnel water resource utilization and mine design. The following research results are abtained:1) The underground formation mechanism in mines is demonstrated, as well as the hydrologic balance model is established, based on the collection and analysis of the experienced materials, and with the supplement site investigation and research in depth on hydrologic background and underground water distribution in mines. The water-bearing formations of major reservoir at Maluping and Yongshaba sections are distinguished .The closed water-b earing formation of Group Dengying is restricted by geological structure stretches around the mine . The water-bearing formation of all mine section can be regarded as a relatively closed huge " underground reservoir" , mainly comprised of fissure and pore water , in an integrated hydrological geological unit.2) The water quality of underground water is mainly evaluated and forecasted through overall analysis of sampled water and the evaluation of typical element, in order to gain the characteristics and the suitability of water quality in different areas. It is helpful to confirm the utilization trends of tunnel water, via , piercing the vein for water at M860 Maluping mine section , regarding Laojiagou section as an developable water resource , in addition , making M1230 Yongshaba mine section to be water reservoir resource .3) The available exploited water resources are evaluated in accordance with the actually measured data of tunnel water discharge, and the periodic dynamics of underground water. Afterthe evaluation and comparison on the make-up, reservoir quantity and discharge of underground water, it is liable to forecast the available exploited water resources.lt is suitable to adopt ground-anayed wells in Luojiagou section , but take water reservoir gallery in tunnel for Maluping M860 section and Yongshaba M1230 section.4) The effective water make-up and the available exploited underground water are investigated for further reliable hydrologic basis on the tunnel water supply and discharge in mines, which is of important scientific and real value.5) The combination of the tunnel water supply and discharge is initially raised in mines design in order to take comprehensive protection measures to improve water supply capacity in mines and guide and discharge underground water, including ground evacuation ,water guiding at medium section of mine , mechanical pumping The tunnel water resources is a key for mining, if developing these conclusions put forward in this paper, the economic, environmental and social benefit will be made undoubtedly.
