The thermoplastic elastomer-SBS possesses superior tensile strength, tearing strength and tensile extensibility, and it also possesses good resistance to subzero, air-conductivity, distinctive moisture and skid resistance and long-range elasticity, it is a kind of good keying agent of luboil, it can keep the viscosity of luboil under the high or low temperature and increase the lubricating property of luboil.Our research probe into the preparation of nano-metal(copper and tungsten), we focal point is to seek a kind of excellent surface-modification agent, and the surface-modification agent can make the nano-metal particles easily disperse in the oil. We also prepare nano-metal/SBS hybrid. Searching literature,we did not find a report about nano-metal/SBS hybrid.First of all, in this paper the nano-metal(copper and tungsten)were continuously prepared by pulsed laser ablation. The effect of the surface-modification agent on the nano-metal and the structural property of nano-metal were discussed by UV-Vis, TEM, Fluorescence, FT-IR and XPS. It was showed that the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles in ethanol were in the shape of sphere, and the diameter were about 5 nm. It was cncluded that, with the use of the surfactant Peregal-O, SDBS, HA and DDP, the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles would more steady disperse in oily solvent, the effect of the surfactant Peregal-O is best. The results ofthe UV-Vis and Fluorescence showed that the nano-metal/ethanol sol have strong absorption peaks and strong emitting fluorescence peaks. It was found through FT-IR that the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles are very easy to band with oxygen atom of ethanol, the degree of association of the O-H of ethanol becomes weaker, the flexible vibration and the flection vibration of C-H are affected, the bond distence becomes longer, the frequency of vibration absorption becomes lower. XRD results showed that the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles present crystal phase, and the grains were extenuation, this result are correspond with that of TEM.Then, in this paper nano-metal(copper and tungsten) /SBS hybrid material were obtained by blending method, the structural property of nano-metal(copper and tungsten) /SBS hybrid material were discussed by UV-Vis, TEM, Fluorescence, FT-IR and TG-DTA. The results shown that the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles in hybrid were still in the shape of sphere, and the diameter were,about 5~20nm,most of them were about 15 nm. The glass-transition temperature and the heat resisting property of the hybrid material were increased because of the interaction between the key of C=C and the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles. The interaction between the SBS segmer and the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles can effectively prohibit the diameter of the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles.At last, in this paper we studied the tribology property of the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) particles and the nano-metal(copper and tungsten) /SBS hybrid material. We found that they have good tribology property, and they are a kind of newfashioned oil dope. And this paper will make a good foundation for future application research.
