After summarizing geotextiles and especially analyzing the models of geotextiles mechanical properties, the models of two elements, three elements and four elements have been studied and an argument that three elements model is comparatively reasonable model of geotextiles mechanical properties has been put forward.In order to testify the argument mentioned above, the data of testing the stress relaxation and tensile properties of geotextiles has been theoretically analyzed. And the two properties have been computationally simulated by Matlab, in which the parameters of mechanical model have been evaluated by Matlab optimization least square method and the different kinds of models have been compared by introducing ESS (error sum of squares). A fact is shown that Eying model is more reasonable than standard linear solid three elements model to simulate the stress relaxation property of geotextiles and the more the relaxation period, the better the simulation. And standard linear solid model is the best model to simulate the tensile property of nonwoven geotextiles and the secondary model to simulate that of compound geotextiles, but when applied to woven geotextiles, the ESS is quite large.
