| The iron, aluminum flocculants and the Polyacrylamide(PAM), are the traditional macromolecule flocculants that are used for the water treatment reagents. But they will induce the second pollution. Moreover, the use of the aluminum f locculants and PAM will be the potential threaten to the health of people.Microbial flocculants is one of the important natural macromolecule flocculants. It has many advantages, such as high effect, security, and no second pollution. It is better than some of the inorganic and organic flocculants. There will be more and more microbial flocculants applied in the wastewater treatments, and it can be applied in food and fermentation industries.In this paper, it is the first time to apply microbial flocculants to sugar industry. Hope to search a more secure, moreefficient, more inexpensive flocculants to substitute the PAM, toproduce a safe, healthy sweet additive and to reduce pollution.The results of clarification experiments show: the mixed juicewas treated by microbial flocculants MF-C; it could effectivelyimprove the settlement speed, reduce the bulk of mud, decolorizeand reduce turbidity of the juice. The AP of juice that was treatedby microbial flocculants is higher than that of PAM. Through theL9(34) rhombic experiment , the optimal culture conditions of MF-Cis temperature at 30C for 2 days culture time, the rotation speedof the shaking bed is 150r/min. The researches indicate theflocculants is an extra cellular metabolite of the microbe. Theinvestigation indicates the MF-C is a glycocalyx; the primaryflocculation mechanism is absorption and bridge formation. |
