Application Of Genetic Algorithm In Slope Stability Analysis

Along with the development of the mineral industry engineering, the technique of our country's Open-air mining have much significant progress, but there are still a lot of troubles, which are bringing very great damages to our nation. Among these troubles the instabilities of slope take the biggest ratio. Analyzing the stability status of the slope and taking some reasonable controls to the destructive slope can avoid or reduce losing steady and breaking down of the slope. Therefore, analysis of the slope's stability has the important signification.As a kind of newly arisen technique, genetic algorithm can search the best through imitating the natural creatures' evolving system; As a kind of Artificial Intelligence, genetic algorithm has been widely used in many scientific fields. In slope, it is useful to the development of Rock Mechanics because of its non-linearity and comprehensive searching ability.With mining slope as the studied object, the stability of slope and the theory of genetic algorithm are studied in the paper. At first the author has analyzed the destroy style and mechanism of slope, studied various factors which influence on the stability of slope. The main factors have been determined to be the intrinsic factor of slope, especially is the gravity and intension of rock masses.Then, the author has analyzed the quantity classification of the rock masses; and introduced genetic algorithm' work principle, process, convergent condition and primary characteristics, and put forward genetic algorithms in slope of application and meanings; Have set up the mathematics model of optimize design' slope based on the genetic algorithm.At last, this paper uses Visual C's language to developed the optimize procedure of the slope based on genetic algorithm.
