Revolution accessory is one kind of broadly used in modern society. Research and develop measuring instrument for this kind of products is a matter of great significance. Different from common used measure instrument, the device of measure revolution accessory use cylinder coordinate as its coordinate system. This kind of instrument includes roundness instrument and gear measure instrument and cam measure instrument, etc. This research task is combined with an industry project, and based on rebuild the control system for a roundness instrument made in Germany. In this paper the author use the research and development of the roundness instrument as the example. At the precondition of keeping the instrument' s precision, we make effort to reconstruct the electron parts and the signal process parts, and we designed new measure and evaluate software so as to upgrade the roundness instrument to an computer based intellectualized device. The methods we used in this project can also be used in other revolutionary measure devices.This paper take the example of the roundness error measure instrument, a control system based on cylinder coordinate is designed. The component of this system is introduced separately. The first part is the introduction of high precision inductance probe, including measure principle and measure circuit. The second part is the develop of high speed data acquire and controlcard, which is based on PCI bus and the use of CPLD and precision AD convert, the driver suitable to win2000 is also discussed in this section. The third part is the application of PLC in the logic control section. The last of this paper is the valuation of roundness error and cylinder error, the least square method was mainly discussed; digital filter and system calibration was described in this section.
