A Study On The Color Management Of Color Output Devices--Modeling And Calibration

Accurately reproducing, communicating and reappearing color have always been an important subject in color publishing systems. The characteristic of appearing color of the output device has a deep effect on the printing color because of the limits of ink, paper etc. Thus, color management for the output device is the key of the Color Management System(CMS).Gray balance curvers algorithm has been used for effectively controlling the neutral gray on the basis of investigating the color distortion of the output device. The algorithms for modeling and calibration have been investigated. Seven-term polynomial regression with linear interpolation algorithm has been applied thinging of the balance of the accuracy and speed. The source color space has been packed five levels on the basis of the distributing rule of the data. The nonunifora three-dimensioned lookup table with interpolation algorithm(trilinear and prism)has been developed for the color transformation and reached the prospective effect.The thesis is of great value to the further research on the CMS.
