| How to reduce costs, improve the printing quality and production efficiency is what the printing companies always think about. Reducing the ink consumption is one of the ways to solve these problems. This method can reduce the total ink consumption on the premise of ensuring accurate color reproduction, so it is an important research topic. The essence of the ink saving is to replace gray component of the cyan,magenta and yellow ink trapping color with the black ink .The purpose of this paper is to find a common ink replacement method which can be used in practical production process.The two key techniques to solve in this paper as follows:(1)Find the general method of matching the K ink's dot coverage percentage with the date of the gray balance.(2)Find an accurate algorithm of ink replacement. It can reduce the total ink consumption on the premise of ensuring accurate color reproduction. Research method: carry out the experiment on the inkjet printer to get the replacement relationship between the cyan,magenta and yellow ink and black ink; program ink replacement algorithm using this replacement relationship and test the replacement effect further.This main work as follows: calibrate the printer to make the printer in a reasonable and stable state; design and print the test chart, then measure date; process the data to obtain the gray balance date matching the black ink's dot coverage percentage visually, then get the replacement relationship between the CMY ink and black ink; program ink replacement algorithm; calculate the amount of ink replacement ink and test replacement effect.The result shows that: weighted distance method is great to get the replacement relationship between the CMY ink and black ink.;It can ensure the color difference in line with the national standards of quality requirements for color print after the replacement; the replacement method in the paper is simple and easy to carry out, it has promotional value to be applied under different printing conditions. |
