Organic electroluminescent devices (OELD) have such advantages aslow-voltage driving,high luminosity,high efficiency and large-area color displaywhich can be realized. Investigations of charge transport materials are drawingmore and more attentions as the eletroluminescence technique develops. 1,3,4-oxadiazole compound has outstanding capacity of transporting electrons becauseof its special structure and causes people's interests. In order to overcomedisadvantages of unstability and tendency to recycstallizate, 1,3,5-triazine canbe used to react with oxadiazole.The main direction of this thesis is focused onthe exploration and development of new organic molecules for using inOELD.At the same time, properties of these novel compounds were studied. In order to get the target substance—1,3,4-oxadiazole with 1,3,5-triazine,N-benzoyl-N'-(p-nitro-benzoyl)-hydrazine was prepared first and then 2-phenpl-5-(p-nitro-phenpl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole can be prepared by the reaction ofcyclization. After the reduction from nitro-group to amino-group, 1,3,5-triazinewas used to react with oxadiazole to improve its properties. Three newelectroluminescent compounds containing 1,3,4-oxadiazole and 1,3,5-triazineunits were synthesized, then their structures were characterized by IR,1HNMR,MS and Elemental Analysis. In order to synthesize sym-1,3,4-oxadiazole,benzoyl chloride was used asraw material,the advantages of one-step method and the disadvantages ofseveral-step method were discussed, then the target substance was characterizedby IR,1HNMR. The application performances of the final products were also involved. Thesynthesized novel compounds (f,g,h) showed UV-visible absorbance andexcellent photoluminescence (PL) in their solution.In addition,the properties off,g,h in film were studied.The organic photoconductor (OPC) using compound fas carrier transport material was prepared.The results showed that f hadphotoconductivity.
