The study of organic and polymer electroluminescent material have been one important research direction on optical material field. Oxadiazole(OXD) derivatives are often used as electron-transporting material in Organic/polymer electroluminescent Diode (OLED) because of their good electronic transmission characteristic, which have attracted much interests. Based on existing disadvantage of oxadiazole compounds now, three kind of novel OXD derivatives are designed and synthesized. The main contents are as follows:1. The effects of the catalyst,reaction temperature,reaction time on reaction yield were studied and optimal preparation conditions were obtained.2. Three types of OXD derivatives: Low Molecular Weight Oxadiazole,Macromole-cular Oxadiazole,Poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) were designed and synthesized, and their structures were characterized by IR and ~1H-NMR.3. The thermal properties of three type of OXD derivatives were studied with DSC (Differential scanning calorimetry) and TGA(thermogravimetric analysis) techniques, respectively. The results showed that they all possess good thermal properties.4. The Optical properties were studied by Ultraviolet-visible absorption spectrum(UV) and Fluorescence spectrum. The results showed that UV-vis absorption peak is located at about 302 nm and maximum fluorescent emitting peaks are at 353.4 nm,358 nm, 355.6nm, respectively, displaying high excited state energy level, which is suit for use as electronic transport materials.5. Circulation voltammetry (CA) was used determining their HOMO,LUMO and energy gaps. The results showed that the LUMO values are -3.19eV for organic oxadiazole, -3.16eV for macromolecular oxadiazole and -3.21eV for Poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) and their HOMO values are all under -6.0eV, hinting that they show good hole-blocking characteristics.
