The author from the humanistic and philosophical perspective, has discussed at length the comings and goings of environment problems by essence, the profound cause of its being born and deterioration, and the contradictory relations (identity and straggle) between environment and social development. On the basis of above discussion, some thoughts on environment protection are presented mainly form the viewpoint of humanism. The suggestions of its being born are based on the interaction between human and nature in history level. The environment problem is basically the problem of interests of human existence and development. In particular, it is caused by excessive expansion of individual interests, instant interests, and local interests: The profound cause for the being born of environment problem goes to the separation of human being and nature. The contradiction of environment problem and social development tell itself through two facts: on one hand, social development is indispensable form environment, while human development shouldn't goes beyond the sustaining capacity of nature. On the other hand, the governing of environment itself is the specific requirements of social development. Several thoughts on environment protection are put forward: namely, Conception innovation is the premise of environment protection; Advancement of science and technology is the principal approach to the governing of environment; Legislation by the government is the guaranty of effective environment governing; interests restructuring is the key issue. Extensive participation is one of the significant solutions to the eco-environment problem. Establish the consciousness of environment security and realize the goal of social sustainable development.
