In recent years, the research reports from chemistry, biology, medicine etc have displayed good effect of sea buckthorn oil in anti-bacterium, reinforcing human body immunity, anti-cancer, anti-inflammation and accelerating muscle tissue regeneration, anti-radiation, curing cardiovascular diseases, beauty and skincare. Sea buckthorn resources in China are rich, which account for above 90% among the world total resources. There are plenty of residual sea buckthorn seeds after fruits are processed every year, while oil is abundant in the seeds. Supercritical fluid extraction technology provides a brand-new way for the development and utilization of natural biological activity substances, its characteristics consist of the high purity, the excellent product quality, without remainder solvent, and so on.This paper investigated development and application value of sea buckthorn oil, research and application progresses of supercritical fluid extraction technology, made a preliminary study for the fundamental theory of supercritical fluid extraction, studied extraction technology of supercritical CO2 of sea buckthorn oil, some suggestions were put forward on comprehensive development and utilization of sea buckthorn oil from three aspects including healthcare foodstuff, medical products, beauty and cosmetic products. The main results are as follows:This paper adopted orthogonal experiment method, investigated the effects of operating parameters such as extraction pressure, extraction temperature and extraction time on the extraction yield and obtained the optimum extraction technique conditions during supercritical CO2 extraction of sea buckthorn oil, namely, extraction pressure was 20MPa, extraction temperature was 40 C, extraction time was 2 hours. Average extraction yield is 7.67% in final experiment. Moreover, the effects on extraction of other factors such as separation pressure, separation temperature, CO2 flux etc were discussed qualitatively.This paper used 95% ethanol as entrainer and studied preliminarily the effect of entrainer. The results indicated that the extracting field was increased and energy loss was reduced after using entrainer, the extraction field was increased by 1.5%. The analytical result of UV proved that there was flavone component in the sea buckthorn seed oil. The analytical results of GC-MS indicated that more components were extracted at the same extraction conditions with entrainer.To research removal effect of free fatty acid in separation process, two-step separation method was adopted in supercritical CO2 extraction of sea buckthorn oil. The analytical results indicated that acid value of sea buckthorn oil declined largely after two-step separation, from 9.25 mgKOH/g oil to 2.24 mgKOH/g oil; Water and volatile matter contents lower; Vitamin E contents increase obviously.This paper made use of GC-MS and analyzed sea buckthorn seed oil, which was extracted at different extracting conditions. Two analytic conditions were adopted, namely, the direct sample injection and hydrolysis-methylation sample. The results indicated that components of sea buckthorn seed oil were very complicated, which there were hydrocarbon groups, ester groups, aldehyde groups, ketone groups, fatty acid and many heterocyclic compounds. All those provided enough reason for comprehensive development and utilization of sea buckthorn seed oil.
