Sea buckthorn(Hippophae rhamnoides L. ssp. Sinensis Rousi)is a well variety of wild plants to keep water and soil and has a high medicinal value. In China, there are huge amount of sea buckthorn fruits and seeds utilized for producing sea buckthorn beverage and seed oil every year. However,the marc of fruit and seed which contain rich procyanidins and flavonoids are just used as feed or wastes. This is the extremely waste of the natural resources. This paper made the researches on extraction,purification and antioxidant property of procyanidins in sea buckthorn seeds residue.The method of analyzing procyanidins of hippophae by spectrophotometer was founded. The influences of de-fat by solvent and supercritical carbon dioxide fluid extraction on the extractive efficiency was investigated. The optimum conditions of supercritical CO2 fluid extraction were determined through the method of orthogonal test. On the base of solvent selection and single factor experiments, the optimum technological conditions were attained by orthogonal experiment. Procyanidins were refined by macroreticular resins. In eight kinds of selected macroreticular resins, AB-8 macroreticular resin was the best. The experiment results showed that the adsorption of the procyanidins was fast and followed Langmuir equation.
