Fine blanking is a processing technology without scraps, which is developed from traditional blanking technology in order to solve the problem of low surface roughness and precision and replace cutting of flat parts. This kind of technology has the characters of high quality, high efficiency, low consumption and a broad application. It can make good quality piece with higher precision, glabrous blanking section, small warping and good compatibility during one punching stroke, which changes the producing mode of work blank for punching and can provide directly the required sheet parts for assembling. So the cost is decreased and the quality is improved. Elastic pressure plate fine blanking remains the material under triaxial compressive stress state and breaks it away without attached crack by plastic shearing. Though Elastic pressure plate fine blanking has many structures, those structures, running mode and materials forming are similar just with different modes of pressure plate, such as odontoid gear ring pressure plate, indent plate, subulate plate and convex plate etc. Therein odontoid gear ring pressure plate is more commonly used, which is the ordinary find blanking mode mentioned by people. Though fine blanking technology has been studied in China since 1965 and some achievements have been attained by Beijing Electromechanical Institute, Jinan Foundry and Metalforming Machinery Research Institute, Xi'an Jiaotong University and Xi'an Instrument and Meter Plant etc, it wasn't used ideally. Fine blanking is still in early stage. So it is necessary to improve our fine blanking technology with independent intellectual property and go through this stage, especially take advantage of the reform and opening convenience for import advanced equipment, die and raw and proceeded materials etc. Therefore, it is important to study this technology. Fine blanking study has been established definite basis and some technology has reached international level. But the transform of fruit is not well, production and research is out of joint and many technological achievements can not be transformed into productivity. These problems result from not only mechanism but also lack of communication between corporation and universities or institutes. In order to accelerate the step of our punching technology development and face to challenge of economy globalization after entering WTO, it is necessary and inevitable to import some equipment, die and raw materials. However, on the view of development, we must base ourselves upon our own country whatever it is for fine blanking die or for fine blanking materials and fulfill home made. Currently, the emphases of fine blanking development are to enhance train of person with ability and exploitation, to develop practical blanking die and tool set up so that fine blanking can be carried out on ordinary forcing machine and the cost will be reduced. Ordinary forcing press or hydraulic forging press have only one slide, which can not provide simultaneously three forces (principal blanking pressure, gear ring blank holder pressure and reverse force). Many people are dedicating to design die for performing fine blanking on ordinary punching machine. In order that ordinary press can carry through fine blanking, there should be a set of elastic cells on tool set up to generate assistant pressure during shearing of blanking mould. While the principal pressure is given by the machine. On account of costliness and fewness of fine blanking machine, fine blanking experiments are significantly less than ordinary blanking, which hindered the study of fine blanking technique. Then fine blanking die holder is installed on ordinary punch to perform fine blanking. Whereas two pillar, three pillar and four pillar sets cannot carry out hole punching and blanking at multi-position.
