On the basis of the target of environmental protection, the main pollutants could be determined in order to assess the extent of the impact on water environment by suitable methods and research means. The counter-measures should be put forward to optimize the scheme of project from different points of view.During tunnel construction, a large amount of waste water caused by construction enters into surface water with running-off ground water. In addition, because of project disturbances, the ground water of geological environment might be changed, the surface water usually gets in touch with the ground water. It is certain significance to assess the impact of water environment on railway tunnel, provide control measures of construction from the point of the variation of water quality.The thesis takes Geleshan tunnel of Yuhuai Railway as an example, to analyze the problem of impact of water environment on tunnel construction. The water environmental problems of Geleshan tunnel mainly include two aspects. One is surface water environment; the other is ground water environment. According to characters of the Geleshan tunnel construction, the factors of environment monitoring and assessment are determined by analyzing the source of contamination. The impact is studied by the route of collecting materials, collecting the materials, making an on-the-spot surveying and monitoring, doing experiment, analyzing data together. The thesis lays emphasis on the received water of tunnel water, analyzing the water environmental quality by the utilization of Law of composite index fuzzy mathematical model, and monitoring the variation of ground water. The result indicates that the quality of received water was temporarily affected in some degree, however, with the improvement of the construction method, water quality resumes to the normal level progressively; the variation of ground water table could not be detected, and water quality has no trend of worsening. The study proposes control measures of construction from the point of environmental quality variation, which effectively reduce the loss of ground water and the pollution of surface water, to protect the safety of ecological environment and water body.
