It is introduced the advantages and background of the theme on the machining of the pockets and back-angled shifterstops of synchromesh in automobile by new means.The theory of the machining of the pockets sleeves and back-angled shifterstops of synchromesh in hypocycloidal approach is introduced. In the process of the developing of NC machine tool which machines the sleeve of synchromesh of automobile ,efficient methods making use of hypocicloide are introduced.Through establishing hypocicloidal parameters equation,the effects of the parameter on its shape are analyzed.Then the possibility of the machining is proved. On the basis of these,the general structure of the NC machine tool for synchromesh sleeves is designed with principle of hypocycloidal machining. The main power and kinetic parameters of the machine are given.Through static and dynamic methods, some structure dimesions of two important parts are designed.Finally the design of the workpiece axis component is optimized.
