Land use and cover change (LUCC) forms major aspect of global change on bothregional and global scales. Quantitative analysis on the economical loss of ecologicaldamage is another hotspot. Wanzhou district is selected as the research area. Wanzhou district has a brittleecological environment. The research on Wanzhou district is a typical regional casestudy. This paper tries to do a quantitative analysis on the ecological loss of LUCC onthe base of the it's trends' forecast. This paper applies Markov model to predict the trend of the land use and coverchange of Wanzhou district. After that, economical loss of ecological damage isevaluated by the application of the ecosystem services and values theory. According tothe character of the ecological loss of LUCC, divide it into the loss of ecological valuesand land restoration costs, and adopt different methods to evaluate. The result of this research indicates that the ecological loss of LUCC costs 62.797millions yuan. It is very egregious. It can be concluded that the behavior to go afterthe economic increase with blindness in spite of ecological loss is harmful. If land cannot get rational use, it can not bring the biggest economic and social benefit. Therefore,the sustainable development is the goal the research regional should go after. To realizethis we should attach importance to ecological, rationally and continently use landresource. Only by this, we can get the unisonous development of economy, society andenvironment.
