Dynamilly vulcanized NR/PP blended thermoplastic elastomer (TPV) was prepared by the two-roll mill. The conditions of dynamic vulcanization and mold pressing and the adding means of nano-silica were studied by analyzing mechanical properties. The effects to mechanical properties were investigated by analyzing the mass ratio of nano-silica and the modification of MAH/St/DCP multi-monomer melt grafting. The resistance to solvent and resistance to thermal distortion of TPV were determined. The glass transition of NR and crystallization-melting of PP were studied by DSC. The heat stability of TPV was studied by TG The morphology structure was observed through SEM and TEM. The results showed that, when the content of nano-silica was 3% and melt grafted by MAH/St/DCP multi-monomer, the TPV had best mechanical properties, resistance to solvent and thermal distortion and heat stability. The Tg of NR in TPV rose after dynamic vulcanization. The Tg, TC and Tm were different with the modified means, but the transformation was not obvious. The compatibility and interfacial interaction between NR and PP was increased greatly by thining dispersion phase, improving dispersive equality of NR and enhancing co-crosslinking of the two phases. The destruction of TPV was the PP matrix becoming deformed instead of the NR phase pulled out form the matrix.
