We took surface treatment on talc with polymer dual alcohol, then added toluene diisocyanate in order to on-situation polymerize thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer (TPU), obtained shell-core structured powder which was blended with polypropylene and toughened polypropylene. Because of polarity distinction ,TPU was incompatible with polypropylene. In order to solve compatibility problem, we prepared compatibilizator (PSM) through solid-phase grafting of MAH and St onto PP, identified it with IR. The effect of shell-core ratio, content of TPU, MFR of PP, compatibilizator etc. on the mechanical properties of the composites was studied. The micro structure of the composites was observed with SEM. Results showed that the addition of PSM gave rise to improvement on notched impact strength of the composites by a large margin and slight drop of tensile strength, even reinforcement and toughening at the same time. mechanical properties of the composites became best while the dosage of PSM was 5%, TPU was 8% and the ratio of shell/core was 0.34.
