Calcium oxide carbon dioxide and nature rubber latex were selected as main raw materials ?and the preparation technology of nanometer calcium carbonate was combined with that of natural rubber. The emulsion of nanometer calcium carbonate was prepared through the reaction of calcium hydroxide and carbon dioxide under controlled reaction conditions then blended with natural rubber latex to obtain nano-CaCO3/NR composites through coagulation. The structure and properties of nano-CaCO3/NR composites was analysed by SEM TEM - IR DSC and DMA. The effects of preparation conditions of nanometer calcium carbonate and content of it on mechanical properties of nano-CaCO3/NR composites were investigated.The effects of each factor of orthogonal experiments on properties of nano-CaCO3/NR composites were investigated. The result shows the optimal preparation condition of nano-CaCO3/NR composites through emulsion coagulation method was concentration of Na5P3O10 as crystal modifier 0.60% ?C12H25NaO3S as modificator 3.00%,?EDTA as dispersant 0.65% and calcium hydroxide 7.50% at 20℃.Compared with traditional mechanical blend > the mechanical properties of nano-CaCOs/NR composites prepared with emulsion coagulation and the dispersion of nanometer calcium carbonate in nature rubber were greatly improved.
