Aiming at some problems in TaoChong's iron mine of the MaAnShan's steel company, like the serious geopressure activities in mid ore body and the stoping difficulty of the bottomless pillar's sublevel caving etc., the researching work is chiefly proceeded in the following text: the investigation and analysis of the geopressure problem, the roadway deformation and the observation of the rock bolt under the action of forces, the trials and research about the zone of disruption and the peculiarities of cranny sliming intercalation expansion, the strength, deformation, stability analysis of the roadway support, the contrastive trials of supporting project, the influence and adjustment caused by the entrance stoping order to the geopressure activities , the measure of the in-situ rock stress and the predicting problems of exploring ore body at the depth of over 90m below the surface etc.. Through these studies, the basic regulations and affecting factors about the geopressure activities of the mine are figured out, a series of efficiently controlling methods of the geopressure are put forward, such as the thought of roadway maintenance, the design of supporting project and the rational stoping order, and so on. In the research, the geopressure problem encountered in the bottomless pillar's sublevel caving is resolved under the special geology conditions of TaoChong's iron mine, after turning strip mining into underground mining. Moreover, the mine has broken away from the disadvantageous situation of long-term passive production and core lossed seriously and has achieved notable economic and social benefits owing to the direction of the research. Besides, its thought, means and much researching fruit have very significant direction and applied value for other analogous mines.
