As a kind of typical materials with special property, polyimide(PI) has been widely used in the field of aviation and microelectron. With the rapid development of modern technology and science, more higher standard has been put forward about the property of materials. Presently, partial discharge ,space charge and impulse high-frequence loss caused by variable frequence adjusting speed technology has accelerated the destroy of traditional insulating system, So the traditional insulating system could not meet the demand of technologic progress. As a result, the application of traditional PI is limited largely. Because of its own advantages, Polyimide-Nano inorganic composites is becoming more and more important.In this article, Polyimide-Nano composite film with varied content of SiO2 and Al2O3 was made by the Sol-Gel process of triethoxysilane(TEOS) and heteropropyl-aluminium in the DMAc solution of polyamine acid (PAA).At the same time,the film was characterized by FTIR,AFM and TGA. The results proved that Nano-composite structure came into being between organic and inorganic phase. Besides, A good corona-resistance property is found about the composite films by the corona-resistance testing. And the property was firmly related to the size and distribution of inorganic components. This article emphasized particularly special technologic conditions are very important to the last property of Polyimide-Nano inorganic composites. At last, this article explained the principle of corona-resistance of traditional insulating system and polyimide-Nano inorganic composites. It was proved that Polyimide-Nano inorganic composites has better corona-resistance property. Over a great deal of tests and analyses ,it is proved that Polyimide-Nano inorganic composites have shown not only its own special property but also that of Nano-inorganic components. Thus it is very important to the improvement of PI property. So it could be assured that the studying on the structure will be very beneficial to studying new engineering dielectric materials.
