Because of the characteristics of property and synthesis, polyimide (PI) has been widely used in the fields of aviation and microelectron. With the rapid development of modern technology and science, higher standard has been put forward about the property of materials. So the traditional insulating system could not meet the demand of technologic progress. At this time, Nano-technology comes forth. Because of its own advantages, incorporating inorganic ingredient into organic matrix resin would produce a new kind of Nano organic-inorganic material that presented characteristics and properties of the both two moieties. And these materials are becoming more and more important role in industry.In this article, a series of Nano-hybrid polyimide/ (SiO2,Al2O3) films in different proportion of Al and Si were synthesized by the Sol-Gel process of triethoxysilane(TEOS) and methyl-triethoxysilane (MTEOS) and heteropropyl-aluminium in the polyamine acid solution (PAA). At the same time, the chemical structure and morphology of the films were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscope and Atomic Force Microscope respectively. And the properties such as thermal stability and electrical property with the inorganic component content and the morphology between the two phases were discussed. It turned out by the experiments that incorporating inorganic moiety into polymer resin, the variation content of inorganic phase and the chemical structure of Al and Si in the inorganic phase had great effects on the dispersing of inorganic particles in the membrane samples and the dimensions of the inorganic particles. The results proved that Nano-composites structure came into being between organic and inorganic phase. Besides, this article emphasized that particularly special technologic conditions are very important to the last property of polyimide-Nano inorganic composites.Over a great deal of tests and analyses, it is proved that Polyimide-Nanoinorganic composites have shown not only its own special property but also that of Nano-inorganic components. It is very important for improvement of PI property. So it could be assured that the studying on the structure of the composites will be very beneficial to studying new engineering dielectric materials.
