The rapid processing technology for polyurethane materials havemany good qualities such as short productive cycle, complex shape and lowcost, so it has become a major processing technology in polymer materialsprocessing. Especially, this technology has broad application in newproduce exploitation and preproduction. Reaction Injection Molding(RIM)is a core technology for rapid processing of polyurethane materials,especially, the mini-type and low pressure RIM equipment can be better toapply the require of rapid processing because of the peculiarity of agility,simple operation and low cost. Mixer is RIM's core component part. So, inthis article, author analyzed the rotary Kenics mixer of RIM basedexperiment, and besides, author studied the process and dimensionalprecision of the rapid processing technology for polyurethane materials. The flow field analysis of rotary Kenics mixer was performed with a III北京化工大学硕士学位论文finite element package, ANSYS. It was observed that circumfluence inpositive and negative element joint in the analysis. Author observed theflow type in the rotary Kenics mixer by visible equipment, and then mostlyanalyzed the mixer's mechanism. The difference of mixer characteristicbetween rotary mixer and static mixer was studied. Experiments provedthat static Kenics mixer can't be directly used in RIM. It was measured that the pressure drops in rotary Kenics mixer at lowquantity of flow by flow pressure simulation experiment. The resultsindicated that rotary Kenics mixer's pressure drop increase with thequantity of flow's increase, and reduce with the mixer's rotate speed.Author analyzed the calculation method of rotary Kenics mixer's flowpressure drop by correcting coefficient and dimension analysis. Theconclusion indicated that the dynamic correctional resistance factor ε relateto impeller Reynolds Rei, and the factor ε reduce with impeller ReynoldsRei's increase. Author also pointed out the factors that influence thepressure drop of mixer. In addition, author introduced the process of the rapid processingtechnology for polyurethane materials, and analyzed the problem in theprocess. And then, author analyzed the reasons of dimension error byprocessing the rapid polyurethane materials produce. IV...
