This paper finished by methods of field investigation, gathering investigation, expert's information consultation feedback, and theoretic analysis and so on. The paper makes a systematic research to major hazard sources in mine production system by way of surveying data, field investigation and applying theory of other vocations. The content of this paper includes classification and discriminative standard of hazard sources in mine, definition, assessing method, assessing model and classifying standard of major hazard source in mine and so on.Based on the theory on unexpected release of energy, the hazard sources in mine are divided into two kinds: first and second. Finding all kinds of hazardous factors and defining hazard sources by way of field investigation and data analysis. The paper give the definition of major hazard source in mine and find them from all hazard sources by the theory Delphi that has better practicability, reliability and operability. The evaluation model of major hazard source, which can give the hazard value, was established by applying the theory Delphi. In order to control the major hazard sources the macroscopic monitoring system, real-time monitoring system and information management system of major hazard sources were established.The systematic research of discriminating and monitoring of major hazard source haven't started in our country's mine factory so far. So, setting up the fixing principle of mine hazard source by discriminative method of hazard source, making a hazard assessment, and presenting a controlling method will have a great practical significance to safe production of our country's mine factory.
