With the prevalent application of computer technology and the large development of artificial intelligence, many enterprises are facing a urgent problem of how to use artificial intelligence choose right parameter of tool and corresponded machining parameter in machining process. As a important part of CIMS, the intelligent system of tools and machining parameters gets new chances and challenges. The expert system of optimization of machining parameter make use of object oriented mode to strengthen the power of system in knowledge express and improve efficiency. It also adopt mix module of knowledge-base and data-base to obtain knowledge, break through the limit that expert system only use in certain condition, and make it to be popular in many fields, it also put agility of database in-out into knowledge acquisition. Using good qualities of object oriented mode, the system adopt object oriented programming language VC++ to carry out the big function of Windows programming and express the potential ability in knowledge acquisition, so as to provide a convenient interface for users and make it match to knowledge expressed in traditional expert system. This paper mainly introduces the system structure, knowledge acquisition, inference mechanism and implementation of each module, setting up optimization function aimed at low cost and made three parameters of machining to be independent variable. It applies tools and machining parameters combining optimization function and inference mechanism of expert system.The system realize auto-generation of the tools and machining parameters from original machining condition, which can use experiential knowledge of experts in this field to instruct practical produce, reduce the production cost, shorten the cycle of machining and improve the productivity.
