Ethyl acetate was a kind of important raw material and widely used in chemical industry. In our country, The main method to product ethyl acetate is to use acetate acid and ethanol as starting materials. The catalysts were screened in a simple device and studied their catalysis by ion exchange resins and/or methylsulfonic acid. A set of reactive distillation column and extraction column was established. The process of esterification of ethyl acetate with acetate acid and ethanol was studied. The catalysis of methylsulfonic acid in ethyl acetate was also studied. The catalysts were screened in a set of simple device. In consideration of catalysis and costs, finaly methylsulfonic acid was the best catalyst. A set of reactive distillation column was established. The process of esterification was studied including temperature, matter of reflux, reflux ratio. The optimum reaction conditions were determined as following: temperature:115-118℃, matter of reflux : purificatory ethyl acetate, reflux ratio:1.5-2.0.The extractants were screened in an extraction column, and the process of extraction was studied. The optimum reaction conditions were determined as following:temperature:25℃,w(1,2,3-propanetriol):w(glycol):w(potassium acetate)=7:2.7:0.3, height of extender:1700mm.In the process of esterification, the function of the catalyst of methylsulfonic acid declined, so ethyl acetate must be separated. The present studies have provided foundation for the further researches of the esterification of ethyl acetate with ethanol and acetate, and is an important guidance for the industrial manufacture.
