Hydrophobically Associating Water-Soluble Polymers (HAPs) are a kind of new products , possessing unique Theological property for containing hydrophobically associative groups in molecular chain. Owing to these special performance, hydrophobically associative polymers behave potential of application in many industry technology fields such as EOR scrubbing and dope etc.And there is important significance for imitating solution behavior of biomass ,as a result the study and explor HAPs turns into one of the most interesting problem in recent twenty years in the study fields of water-soluble polymers, and becomes the focus of study in industry and academia.This paper mostly study the macroscopic properties of HAPs , investigate the influence of salinity, temperature and shear rate to solution viscosity etc and analysis and discuss this influence from the relationship between configuration and performance.The experiment investigation shows: (1) owing to the function of intramolecular association and intermolecular association of hydrophobically associating groups ,there exists two associative concentration, and external factor (such as salt-concentration , shear rate ,temperature etc.) is able to affect critical associative concentration of polymers; (2) The association form of every group in molecule chain of HAPs will impact polymer solution's rheological properties, external factor influence solution's rheological properties through the groups' associative form indirectly; (3) Through the rheological model compound, HAPs anastomose the model of Power-Law, and put up preferably property of shear-thinning; (4)The addition of modest amount of salt redounds to promote the association and it results in the increase of viscosity; (5)Hoisting temperature is favor of the form of association and augment viscosity of solution, but along with temperature continuous hoist, unbinding of association begin to enhance and viscosity begin to minish.From infrared spectrum and elemental analysis.the structure of HAPs are accord with molecular design in this paper.
