So, residual life-span prediction is of important sense to the decision possess for operating maintenance or replacing of pipeline with corrosion defect.The precise residual life prediction is based on plenary data. If there are adequate history data on occasions, the statistics method of prediction for residual life-span can be applied, especially for that of pitting corrosion.Soil electrochemistry erode is the primary mechanism of corrosion for long-distance pipeline, hence after analyses of electrochemistry corrosion mechanistic this paper given the certainty corrosion rate model, offered the detailed prediction processes combined the criteria of residual strength.Be on the precondition of occasion specialty, residual life prediction software has been establish.
