With the development of oil and gas industry and the growth of social consumption speed,the number of long-distance oil and gas pipelines is also increasing,and their role in economic construction and national defense construction is also growing.Most of the long-distance oil and gas pipelines have been buried underground for a long time.Corrosion of pipelines is unavoidable,especially those built in the 1970 s and 1980 s.With the increase of service life,the impact of corrosion on pipelines becomes more and more serious,which poses a certain threat to the normal operation of pipelines.Therefore,in-depth study of the corrosion degree of oil and gas pipelines and prediction of their remaining life can effectively help us formulate reasonable pipeline operation,maintenance and replacement related decision-making plans and implementation programs.Based on the relevant research contents at home and abroad,this paper elaborates the historical background and practical significance of the research on Corrosion of long-distance oil and gas pipelines,introduces the research situation of residual life of corrosion at home and abroad in detail,and deeply analyses the corrosion causes,types and mechanisms of long-distance oil and gas pipelines,so as to complete the prediction of residual life of oil and gas pipelines.Based on the electrochemical mechanism and according to the specific geometry of corrosion defects,the corresponding corrosion rate calculation models were established,including three types of corrosion:uniform corrosion,local corrosion and pitting corrosion.At the same time,the size of corrosion defects was verified and checked.The main idea was to match the residual strength acceptance criteria with corrosion conditions,and the calculation of residual corrosion life of long-distance pipelines was completed.Calculate and forecast.Based on the above theoretical research results,through the analysis of the actual engineering situation,a suitable residual life prediction software is developed with Dev-C++ programming language as the programming language.
