The sanitary landfill location decides the engineering investment in great part, so how to select the sanitary landfill site scientifically and reasonably becomes a research focus. In concern with the specific advantages of sanitary landfill for municipal solid waste(MSW) treatment, this thesis takes the railway garbage as an example, carries out research on railway garbage sanitary landfill site selection methods through information research, site investigation and calculation analysis. The research results help to enlarge the application scope of sanitary landfill and site selection methods, and offer directions for MSW sanitary landfill site selection.Through systematic conclusions of site selection methods and complicated analysis of site selection influence factors and index, based on the newest research results of sanitary landfill site selection both at home and abroad, this thesis discusses the elementary principles of multi-objectives decision osculating value method, matter element analysis method and multi-objectives decision fuzzy optimization method, builds an open site selection index system. The calculation example takes the traditional thought habit-the duality complementarily fuzzy decision method to decide the second grade weight of site selection index. The method offers the scientific support for the transformation from the qualitative index to quantitative index. According to the three deferent site selection methods, this thesis takes three transformations. The positive transformation (the numerical value larger, the result better) and the negative transformation (the numerical value smaller, the result better) are all included. A Matlab program is developed to predigest the osculating value method. The three site selection methods are used in the optimization selection of the Longchang-Naxi railway sanitary landfill site. The result suggests that the best site and the selection order are accordant with the result that the specialist group recommends, which proves that the three site selection methods recommended in this thesis are suitable for application.
