Energy is the motivity of development of economics. Energy is the physical foundation of modern civilization. With the increase of the world's population and industry's continuing development, energy becomes less and less. China is a big developing country with little energy, at the same time energy-using is very serious. So energy-saving is very important. There are many methods about energy-saving. Systematic energy-saving of chemical engineering process is a new theory, which looks the whole system on as an organic one object. Pinch technology is a useful method of systematic energy-saving. It combines the theory of thermodynamics and systematic engineering to know the using and recycling of systematic energy of the process and optimize them. Pinch technology is based of the second law of thermodynamics and first put forward by Professor Linnhoff. It is very Concise and intuitionistic and has good effect. So it is widely used in practice. Chemical industry is a very important branch of a country's economics. Chemical industry uses energy a lot. shanghai chlor-alkali chemical co., ltd. is a big chemical engineering company. It needs to increase the level of energy-using with modern technology. Using pinch technology, this project first study the heat exchanger networks of different production flow, such as VCM, PVC. Then get the data of hot flow and cold flow. We can get the pinch point from these data. Knowing the pinch point, we can find where energy-using is not proper. Considering the actual things we give some solving solutions to save energy. And then develop a simulation platform.
