The register accuracy of the sheet-fed offset press is an important sign of testing quality on the machine and press product. Owing to the register accuracy be affected and restricted on various factors, the register device is absolutely necessarily parts which could advance the press quality. Presently, the register device of domestic sheet-fed offset press could adjust two direction of side lay and vertical register, however could not adjust diagonal register, and lack automatic register control system, and require developing. The main contents and the innovative views are as follows:1 , Analyzing and researching various reasons affecting register accuracy, and indicating its primary reasons.2, According to basic principle of existing register device, designing automatic register device of diagonal; and using the software which based on finite element theory, analyzing main part; and computer simulating the device through using Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire. According to analysis result, the register precision according with the national standard, achieving design requirement.3, According to reasons bringing error in print, based on image processing and research object (register cross), developing automatic examine system of diagonal register through using VC. According to result of theoretical analysis, using the system could improve the speed and precision of the press.Through research of this article, designing automatic register device of diagonal and automatic examine system of diagonal register. This work can improve design level of homemade press machine, reduce the gap between top grade ones.
